Arrival in Colombo airport. Transfer to Sigiriya, check-in our hotel and get ready for our big adventure.

The Lion’s Rock

Today we visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Sri Lanka’s most visited archaeological site known as the Lion’s Rock. First we will hike up Pidurangala rock for a breathtaking sunrise over Sigirya then make our way to Sigirya rock and climb the 200m rock to the Sky Fortress built on top of it with magnificent panoramic views over the surrounding forests and mountains. Afterwards we will drive to Kandy, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka for overnight.

The Misty Mountains

Today we embark on a hiking expedition in the amazing Knuckles mountain range for the most heavenly trails in the country. We will be hiking along breathtaking mountain landscape, beautiful hidden waterfalls, quaint villages hidden in the mountains. After our mountain adventure we will drive back to Kandy.

Rainforest Adventure

After breakfast we will drive to Kitulgala in the heart of the rainforest for a thrilling white water rafting adventure along the beautiful Kelani River followed by waterfalls jumping and sliding, have lunch at river camp then drive into the central highlands to Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliyais located in the heart of the tea country hills of Sri Lanka. We will start our day with a walk among the famous tea plantations and visit the tea factory. Later in the afternoon we will visit Gregory Lake for a scenic walk around its shores.

Horton Plains

Breakfast then venture into Horton Plains national park to hike its most amazing viewpoint known as the world’s end. It’s a sheer cliff with a drop of about 1200m outlooking the surrounding plateau. Afterwards we will drive to the train station for one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world to the hilltop town of Ella.

Ella

Ella is a small town on the southern hills of the upcountry. It is blessed with lush greenery, cascading waterfalls and mountains adorned with tea plantations, making it a great hiking destination. Our trail for the day is Little Adam’s peak, an easy hike with amazing views, we will hike through lush green tea plantations and paddy fields to the top where we will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view over the misty mountains of central Sri Lanka. Afterwards we will go on a thrilling ride along South Asia’s longest zipline then another short hike to the famous 9 Arches bridge then drive to the tropical beaches of Mirissa
