The Albanian Alps

We leave early in the morning to the city of Shkodra in northern Albania at the foothills of the Albanian Alps. After check-in we will head out to explore the old town of Shkodra and get acquainted with its beautiful architecture and landscape. We will also visit the small town of Shiroke where we can opt to enjoy a refreshing swim in the lake or rent a kayak and venture into its waters

Into the Accursed Mountains

Today we begin our adventure into the Albanian Alps which is also known as the Accursed Mountains. First we take a ferry across Komani Lake and its beautiful fjords to the small town of Fierza then we will be transported to the beautiful mountain village of Valbona where are going spend the rest of the day exploring the village and getting ready for our big adventure on the next day.

Peaks of the Balkans

The Hike from Valbona to Theth is not only Albania’s best hike but it’s also one of Europe’s most beautiful hikes. We start along the riverbed from Valbona village (995m) to Rrogam village (1127m) then we begin our ascent up Valbona pass (1759m). At the top we will be rewarded with one of the most stunning views in the Albanian Alps over Valbona valley on one side and Theth valley on the other side. Afterwards we will begin our descent through the forest to Theth village (716m) where our hike concludes.

The Blue Eye

Theth is a beautiful alpine village nestled deep in the Albanian Alps with a lot of beautiful and diverse nature to explore. Today we explore the treasures of Theth National park from Grunas canyon and waterfall to the famous Blue Eye of Theth. Afterwards we will drive back to Shkodra then drive south to the city of Berat.

Osumi Canyon

Breakfast then drive to visit Osumi Canyon, one of the most beautiful canyons in the Balkans then continue to Bogova waterfall then drive back to Beart to explore the city of a thousand windows and its unique architecture. Afterwards we will drive to Himara.

The Albanian Riviera

Himara is a coastal town in southern Albania in the heart of the Albanian Riviera. With green mountains as the backdrop and turquoise waters all around it’s a hub for endless activities along the Riviera. We will be hiking the coastal cliffs for amazing views over the Ionian Sea or just chill by one of Himara’s hidden beaches away from crowds.

The Ionian Sea

One last breakfast in Paradise then we go on a magical boat trip to explore the beautiful northern coast of Himara. From stunning secluded beaches to amazing hidden caves and some of the most beautiful scenery along the Ionian Sea. Afterwards we will drive back to Tirana.
